Marph goes to South Africa!

An unexpected trip to South Africa! What a treat! And what a great time it was squeezing in all our favourite things in Cape Town and around the country in a whirl wind trip.

First stop: a picnic at Kirstenbosch!

How beautiful is this King Protea?

Unfortunately I had to spend a lot of time here....

But made up for it by spending time here! The V&A Waterfront,

and enjoying amazing views of Table Mountain,

and all the Madiba history.

There was time for a stroll around the beautiful University of Cape Town Campus,

and for a walk on our favourite beach: Hout Bay.

Lots of mountain gazing happened all week,

And we enjoyed a drive around the Table Bay side of the Peninsula passing through Camps Bay with amazing views of the Twelve Apostles overlooking the Beach.

We also squeezed in wine tasting at Groot Constantia,

and some walks in Newlands Forrest

Then it was time to head to the South Coast of Durban where we spoilt with lots of family time including braais,

daily swims in the pool,

walks on the beach,

a quick 9 holes of golf at Margate Golf Club,

and one of our favouritse: The Waffle House at the Blue Lagoon!

Mmm, cappuccino!

Omelette breakfast waffle!

Berry smoothie waffle!

Then I headed to St Francis Bay where I spent a lot of time hanging out with my Marph cousin at the Viking Bakery!

And learnt how to knit!

There was plenty of fish 'n chips,

and walks on the beach!

Throughout the holiday I enjoyed all my favourite South African treats, such as:

Hot cross buns,

Scones and cold milo milkshakes,

Chocolate Steri Stumpies,

marshmallow easter eggs,

good South African food especially braais,

good South African wine,

and plenty of hot Milo!

I was sad to leave =(
But look forward to my next trip! =)
