Marph in Bruges

Hi! My name is Marph and I am Justin and Bronwen's new mellow yellow travel fellow!

This weekend we went to Bruges in Belgium!

We enjoyed trying the different local favourites on offer such as Flamse Frites!

....and Belgian waffels!

Yum Yum!

Many of the local beer varieties were tried...

...why does the bottom of the glass come so quickly??

We did a tour of the brewery De Halve Maan which has been active since 1856 and is the only brewery still active in the city centre of Bruges. I made friends with St Arnold, the patron saint of brewers =)

But we also had something healthy to eat during our stay =)

We salivated over the many chocolate displays....

...and tried some of the tempting goods!

Bruges is surrounded by a canal and has many running through it. This barge passed us near the Kruispoort, the only remaining gate and part of the old city walls.

We filled the days enjoying the sights...

...but also spent some chilling out in the park and admiring the windmills.

And then it was time to go =( But not before posting postcards!

Antwerp Central Station on the way home. Wow! What a BIG station! Don't lose me!!

Home with souvenirs from the weekend...
Hey! Keep your hands off my Kwak! =)

Until next time....

x

PS: more news and pics from Bruges to follow later in the week =)
